Our Mission

Our mission is to answer the following question for our exploration and development clients:  "What seismic pattern best separates good wells from bad wells, in a zone of interest for a particular 3D seismic survey?"


Dr. Daniel R. Cook, President and CEO of Seismic Insight Inc., graduated with a Ph.D. in physics from the University of California at Berkeley.  Dan completed his postdoctoral work in neuroscience at the University of California at San Diego and then developed powerful mathematical algorithms to analyze wave phenomenon.

He has since engineered the software to analyze seismic data used by oil and gas companies to improve their predictive capabilities.  Seismic Insight now has partners in Colorado, Texas, and Canada who utilize this exploration technology to increase their drilling success rate.


James W.K. Loong, Vice President of Marketing, is a neurophsychologist and a cognitive neuroscientist.  He is a pioneer in computerizing neuropsychological testing in the measure of brain functions.  He is the founder and president of Wang Neuropsychological Laboratory.  His testing programs are being used in medical and research laboratories worldwide.  He is the president of three corporations and serves on the board of directors for five financial and research companies.
