Our Mission

Our mission is to answer the following question for our exploration and development clients:  "What seismic pattern best separates good wells from bad wells, in a zone of interest for a particular 3D seismic survey?"

Who We Are

Dr. Daniel R. Cook, President and CEO of Seismic Insight Inc., graduated with a Ph.D. in physics from the University of California at Berkeley.  Dan completed his postdoctoral work in neuroscience at the University of California at San Diego and then developed powerful mathematical algorithms to analyze wave phenomenon.

He has since engineered the software to analyze seismic data used by oil and gas companies to improve their predictive capabilities.  Seismic Insight now has partners in Colorado, Texas, and Canada who utilize this exploration technology to increase their drilling success rate.


Nathan S. Cook, Customer Service Manager, graduated from Brigham Young University.  His background is in computers, training, and project management.  He is currently pursuing a Masters' degree at the University of Santa Monica.

Mr. Cook has assisted in the development of the software and technical materials that are associated with Event Resolution Imaging.  

He currently works as a Project Manager at Seismic Insight, acting as liaison between the scientific staff and our clients.


Michael S. Olsen, Business Development Manager, is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Arizona State University.  Early in his career, Mike worked as a measurements engineer at the Idaho Test Site for the NRTS (National Reactor Testing Station) at Arco, Idaho, where he helped develop test and measurements equipment for nuclear reactors.

Mike has always had leanings toward entrepreneurial pursuits; he likes to make things work.  He has owned several businesses and been involved in several others. He has also done extensive technical training.


James W.K. Loong, Exclusive China Business Consultant, is a neurophsychologist and a cognitive neuroscientist.  He is a pioneer in computerizing neuropsychological testing in the measure of brain functions.  He is the founder and president of Wang Neuropsychological Laboratory.  His testing programs are being used in medical and research laboratories worldwide.  He is the president of three corporations and serves on the board of directors for five financial and research companies.
